The alarming absentee rate is something to consider.
We have noticed a spike in the number of learners who are absent because of illness. Today we had 69 children absent. This represents approximately 10% of the total number of learners at school. At least 10 of these learners have tested positive for Covid-19. We also have a number of staff members on sick leave.

What is worrying is that a number of children are coming to school while ill. We ask that Parents not send any child to school if he or she is feeling ill, regardless of the symptoms.
